How I invest
I invest in startups within my network, prioritising founders I know and trust. I have experience in building SaaS and marketplace companies, so I offer practical experience to help founders in those areas to navigate challenges (build, scale, exit) and drive growth.
All investments are made via my micro investment company - Vintage Island.
I usually write €5k - €10k checks, with a few rare exceptions. I put money and get shares. I might also get shares from advisory agreements. These are situations where I help the founders (with my time and advice) on the basis of a formal agreement, meaning conditions apply to these shares, including vesting or early termination of the agreement.

Backstory
Backstory
Vintage Island was born from the idea that every first-time founder needs a little slice of land (a support system) where they can voice their worries and get some solid advice.
After going through the startup rollercoaster myself as a solo founder and CEO - and successfully making it through an exit - I know how tough the journey can be.
New founders often feel like they’re sailing solo, so I wanted to create a place where they could find not just funding, but also real advice and encouragement. Think of it as that friendly, seasoned island bartender who not only mixes you a great drink (funding) but also gives you some guidance, and tips for navigating the rough waters ahead.
“Vintage” reflects my belief that good things take time and patience, while “Island” stands for a place where founders can find refuge, inspiration, and support as they start their journey.
